Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ric Martinelli began his woodworking career by studying luthery (design and building of string instruments) in 1982. Upon completion of the program in 1984, Ric returned to Los Angeles. A dearth of musician clients who could afford custom work led Ric to growing his woodworking skills to the design and building of custom furniture. Furniture was a natural fit because furniture makers were already calling on Ric for custom inlay work. In 1993, Ric settled in the central San Joaquin Valley; the location provides greater access to clients throughout the state. Ric specializes in the creation of bespoke furniture in unique materials. Gallery quality custom furniture has been his passionate endeavor for over 25 years.
